Buzzards Know
by W. C. Tuttle
Buzzards Know, by W. C. Tuttle, follows the Coachella Kid as he flees after a violent escape from custody, with Sheriff Dave Fulton determined to track him down. The Kid has no intention of simply running. Old grievances between the two men have not been forgotten, and as their paths draw closer together, the Kid begins to put his own plans into motion.
Following our earlier presentation of Reputation, this second selection offers another glimpse of Tuttle’s skill at crafting lean, atmospheric Western fiction. Here, pursuit and personal vengeance drive the story forward, keeping the reader wondering what the Kid will do when the law finally catches up with him.
